The purpose of this program is to implement suicide prevention and intervention programs for adults, 18 years of age or older. This is accomplished by taking a broad-based public health approach to suicide prevention through enhanced collaboration with key community stakeholders, raising awareness of available suicide prevention resources, and implementing lethal means safety. All of the following criteria must be met:
- Eligibility is statutorily limited [section 520L(a)(2)] to a community-based primary care or behavioral health care setting, an emergency department, a State mental health agency (or State health agency with mental or behavioral health functions), public health agency, a territory of the United States, or an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as the terms "Indian tribe" and "tribal organization"
