Agri-Tech Grant Scheme

About this grant

The Agri-Tech Grant Scheme supports innovative Agri-Tech startups in Tamil Nadu through financial assistance aimed at fostering development and scaling. The scheme offers two funding tiers: Up to ₹10 lakh for early-stage startups developing agricultural innovations. Up to ₹25 lakh for startups seeking market expansion in the agriculture sector. The program focuses on solutions in crop, livestock, and fisheries domains. Startups working on ready-to-eat products are specifically excluded from the scheme. This initiative is implemented by the Department of Agricultural Marketing & Agri Business, Government of Tamil Nadu, with StartupTN as the ecosystem partner.

Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

• Startup must have DPIIT certificate and headquartered in Tamil Nadu.
• Should be a registered Private Limited Company, LLP, or Partnership firm.
• Average profit in the last three years must be less than ₹5 lakh.
• Must be working on innovation, development, or improvement of agricultural products or processes.
• Startup should not be formed by splitting or reconstructing an existing business.
• No pending dues or blacklisting by Government agencies.
• At least 51% shareholding must be held by Indian promoters.
