About this grant
The C-CAMP Wadhwani Innovation Network (WIN) Centre of Excellence is a collaborative initiative between C-CAMP and the Wadhwani Foundation, established to accelerate the translation and commercialization of research-driven innovations in biotechnology and bioengineering. The program is structured to support Indian startups and academic innovators working on deep-tech, science-led solutions with strong commercialization potential. This funding opportunity offers non-dilutive financial support of up to ₹1 crore per selected awardee, aimed at advancing technologies beyond TRL 4. The funding can be utilized for pilot and validation studies, prototype refinement, scaling up innovations, and generating critical data required to secure subsequent levels of funding or market entry. The initiative aligns with national priorities by fostering industry-ready solutions, enabling job creation, and strengthening India’s leadership in life sciences and deep-tech innovation. The WIN CoE focuses on key innovation domains including healthcare, drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, industrial biotechnology, and agriculture. The program follows a rolling call mechanism, allowing applicants to submit proposals on a monthly basis, thereby providing continuous opportunities for eligible innovators to seek support for their translational research and product development efforts.
