How to apply

1. 1Define Critical Risks – Identify and assess potential threats to research data, equipment, facilities, and operational continuity, including cyber risks, physical hazards, and operational disruptions
2. 2Develop Mitigation Plans – Design contingency and response strategies for each identified risk, ensuring redundancy, recovery procedures, and resilience measures are in place
3. 3Implement Risk Management Frameworks – Apply structured risk governance and mitigation strategies across infrastructure networks to ensure consistent protection and resilience
4. 4Foster Collaboration – Coordinate with other research infrastructures to ensure global coverage, shared resilience capacity, and critical mass where needed for effective risk response
5. 5Ensure Sustainability – Establish long-term governance, funding continuity, and operational models to maintain risk management capabilities beyond the project duration
6. 6Document and Share Best Practices – Produce policy guidance, technical documentation, and lessons learned, and disseminate them across the European Research Area (ERA)
