What the funding covers

How to apply

1Confirm eligibility as an early-career independent investigator, including 2018–2023 lab establishment, MD/PhD or equivalent, and active multi-year funding.
2Prepare a research proposal distinct from your current portfolio with strong scientific rationale and high-impact potential.
3Compile supporting documentation including institutional affiliation details and collaboration letters if applicable.
4Submit the application through the Mark Foundation’s official submission process before the deadline.
5Be prepared for virtual interviews in October 2026 if shortlisted.
6Successful applicants begin funding on January 1, 2027.
