Civil Society Funding for Strengthening Governance (Guatemala)

About this grant

The European Commission has launched funding under the Thematic Programme for Civil Society Organizations 2021–2027 to support civil society initiatives in Guatemala. The programme offers grants from EUR 575,000 to EUR 1,150,000 to strengthen governance, policy participation, and inclusive development, with a total budget of EUR 2.3 million.

Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

• Legally established non-profit civil society organizations, networks, platforms, or coalitions
• Established in Guatemala, an EU Member State, or another eligible NDICI–Global Europe country
• Established for at least 5 years
• Carried out regular relevant actions for at least 3 years
• Take direct responsibility for preparing and managing the project

How to apply

1. 1Confirm 5-year legal establishment and 3 years relevant experience, demonstrate CSO capacity for policy engagement, develop project strengthening civil society participation in governance, show local relevance in Guatemala, submit through EC portal.
