About this grant

Organisations can apply for a share of up to £7 million across the three strands of the competition. This is for energy access in official development assistance eligible countries in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, the Indo Pacific region and Latin America.

Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Collaborations only
  • Business, research organisation, research and technology organisation, charity, or non-governmental organisation from any country
  • UK registered organisation must be the UK administrative lead for collaborative projects
  • Consortium must contain at least one micro, small or medium sized enterprise from anywhere in the world
  • Project must involve at least one legally separate collaborator

  • Share of up to £7 million total fund
  • Energy access projects in ODA eligible countries
  • Three strands of competition available
  • Mid-stage development support
