Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Artists facing threats to safety or ability to work
  • From any country or artistic discipline
  • Preferably still in home country or recently fled
  • Priority: women artists, ethnic/racial/cultural minorities
  • NOT for students seeking academic studies
  • NOT for those displaced more than 2 years
  • NOT for those with citizenship or permanent status elsewhere

What the funding covers

  • Approximately USD 35,000 for one year
  • Monthly stipend through host institution
  • Housing, studio space, materials from host
  • Mentorship and integration support
  • Access to professional networks

How to apply

  1. 1Confirm eligibility as threatened artist, identify potential host institutions, prepare portfolio and statement of risk, submit application for matching with suitable hosts.
