The Agripreneurship Orientation Program (AOP) under the RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme, implemented by MANAGE Centre for Innovation and Agripreneurship (CIA), is designed to support aspiring agripreneurs in developing and validating innovative agribusiness ideas. The program targets individuals who are committed to building full-time ventures in agriculture and allied sectors. The program offers a structured one-month mentoring and hands-on internship experience, enabling participants to gain practical exposure to startup operations and business strategy. Through interactions with experienced mentors and existing startups, participants develop a deeper understanding of market challenges, business models, and execution strategies required to succeed in the agribusiness domain. Upon successful completion of the orientation program, participants are given an opportunity to pitch their ideas for grant-in-aid funding of up to ₹5 lakh. This funding is intended to support the development of prototypes or early-stage products and services, helping entrepreneurs transition from ideation to execution. The AOP also plays a critical role in building a pipeline of high-quality agribusiness startups by nurturing individuals at the earliest stage of their entrepreneurial journey. It emphasizes practical learning, iterative development, and strategic planning, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to advance to further stages of incubation and funding.
