Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • To determine eligibility, HRSA uses the National Center for Health Workforce Analysis (NCHWA) projections1 through 2038, which indicate there are 41 states with a projected shortage of primary care physicians. The top quartile of states with projected shortages of primary care physicians include 12 states: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Ten
