About this grant

The proposed cooperative agreement is a renewal of the existing CAP supporting key stakeholders in retail food safety to coordinate and advance retail food protection in the United States.  The intended outcome of this NOFO is to collaboratively advance retail food safety initiatives to reduce food-borne illness. This cooperative agreement is intended to advance practices in retail food protection, conduct research related to such practices and identify opportunities for collaboration to re Grant Number: FOR-FD-25-008. Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Competition will be limited to non-profit national organizations affiliated with one or more institutions of higher learning whose membership includes state, local, tribal and territorial regulatory personnel whose primary duties include retail food safety, as explicitly permitted by the grant-making provisions of FSMA (21 USC 399).
