SIDBI Seed Fund Programme at TIDES IIT Roorkee

About this grant

This programme supports early-stage defence and deep-tech startups to accelerate their growth, provide critical seed funding, and enhance India’s defence innovation ecosystem. It is implemented by the Technology Innovation and Development of Entrepreneurship Society (TIDES) at IIT Roorkee in collaboration with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The programme focuses on startups that are supported by iDEX and/or recognised by DPIIT and encourages ventures to leverage incubation resources at TIDES, including mentorship, ecosystem access, and business support. Funding is aimed at helping startups move from validation and prototyping stages toward market entry and commercialisation.

Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

• Startup must be supported by iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence).
• Startup must be recognised by DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade).
• Startup must be willing to incubate at TIDES, IIT Roorkee or already be incubated there
