About this grant

Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is announcing the availability of funds for new and renewing suicide prevention grants under the Staff Sergeant Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP) for services in Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2027.  The SSG Fox SPGP directs efforts to reduce Veteran suicide by awarding grants to community-based organizations to directly provide or coordinate the provision of primarily non-clinical suicide prevention services to eligible indiv Grant Number: VA-FOX-SP-FY2027.

Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Eligible applicants are:(1) An incorporated private institution or foundation (i) no part of the net earnings of which incurs to the benefit of any member, founder, contributor, or individual; and (ii) that has a governing board that would be responsible for the operation of the suicide prevention services provided under this section;(2) A corporation wholly owned and controlled by an organization
