Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Event organisers staging events entirely in Queensland.
  • Overview
  • Queensland Destination Events Program provides funding to event organisers staging events held entirely in Queensland.
  • The event should:
  • generate local economic activity and development in the host destination
  • attract visitors to the region
  • drive social and community outcomes for the region
  • enhance the profile of the region.
  • There are 4 funding streams:
  • Destination Signature Event – funding of $15,000 to $40,000.
  • Destination Significant Event – funding of $40,000 to $100,000.
  • Destination Indigenous Event – funding of $15,000 to $40,000.
  • Destination Kickstarter Event – funding of up to $25,000.
  • Check if you can apply
  • To be eligible, you must:
  • have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be either a corporation registered with ASIC, an Incorporated Association or other body corporate
  • be conducting an event that takes place in the same Queensland destination, it cannot rotate to other locations.
