The Australia Korea Foundation provides businesses and individuals with funding to undertake projects which strengthen Australia–Korea relations, enhance Australia's international reputation and promote cultural understanding.

Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- Businesses and individuals wanting to undertake projects that strengthen relations with korea.
- The australian–korea foundation (akf) aims to:
- Increase public awareness of australia in korea, and of korea in australia, and the importance of the joint relationship
- Develop partnerships in areas of shared interest between the two countries
- Increase australians' capacity to engage with korea effectively.
- To be eligible, you must be one of the following entity types:
- An australian entity with an australian business number (abn) or australian company number (acn), or indigenous corporation number (icn)
- A consortium with a lead organisation footnote
- A registered charity or not-for-profit organisation
- An australian local government body
- An australian state/territory government body
- A corporate commonwealth entity
- An australian statutory authority
- An australian or permanent resident of australia
- A citizen or organisation from the republic of korea.
What the funding covers
- Funding of between $50K and $150K.
How to apply
- 1Confirm readiness: Ensure you meet criteria (e.g., ABN, turnover limits, GST registration), align project objectives with grant goals, and estimate time for evidence gathering and writing.
- 2Gather evidence: Collect documents like financials, business plans, market research, project budgets, resumes, risk analysis, and support letters to prove capability and impact.
- 3Register/log in: Obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN) if needed, sign into the relevant portal (e.g., Business Grants Hub portal), and note any prerequisites like advisory service reports.
- 4Prepare and write application: Address all selection criteria clearly (project details, government alignment, costs, outcomes, benefits); keep concise, factual, and compelling; validate for completeness.
- 5Review, approve, and submit: Proofread, get stakeholder sign-off, submit online via the portal before deadline (no late entries); expect eligibility check, merit assessment, and outcome notification.
