About this grant

Funding is available to open new domestic routes, extend existing seasonal routes and for direct international flights in the aviation industry.

Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

• Eligible applicants must:
• Operate an airport in tasmania that supports, or is demonstrated to be capable of supporting, regular passenger services of the type proposed
• Have the appropriate authorities, licences, insurances, and approvals as required to operate the proposed service.

How to apply

1. 1Confirm readiness: Ensure you meet criteria (e.g., ABN, turnover limits, GST registration), align project objectives with grant goals, and estimate time for evidence gathering and writing.
2. 2Gather evidence: Collect documents like financials, business plans, market research, project budgets, resumes, risk analysis, and support letters to prove capability and impact.
