Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Tasmanian commercial and industrial energy customers who use over 150MWh of electricity per year.
  • Overview
  • There are 2 forms of support under the scheme:
  • the full interest costs under a loan on up to $10,000 over the first 3 years
  • a 5% interest subsidy for loan amounts over $10,000 and less than $60,000 over the first 3 years.
  • The scheme works via an interest rate subsidy on commercial finance arranged between the applicant and finance provider.

  • To be eligible, applicants must:
  • have an active Australian business number (ABN)
  • take out finance with an Australian Financial Services licensed (AFSL) entity to invest in energy efficient products
  • use over 150MWh of electricity per annum
  • operate their business within Tasmania
  • install the energy efficient goods/equipment, or have energy efficiency services delivered, within Tasmania.
