Provides grants to local communities and economies disrupted by the construction of Phase One and Phase 2a of HS2 between London and Crewe.
Key facts
Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- Formally established for public benefit and not for profit
- Must have governing document
- Minimum of 3 unrelated people on committee
- Own bank account requiring 2 signatories
- CEF primarily for voluntary/community sector including charities, constituted community groups, CICs, social enterprises
- BLEF primarily for organisations with formal objectives supporting local business/tourism development
What the funding covers
- CEF Local: up to £75K for quality of life and environment projects
- CEF Strategic: £75.0K to £250K for large projects across several communities
- BLEF: £10K to £250K for local economy support
