About this grant

This program provides funding to NSW businesses to help them determine whether a heat pump is a feasible option for their site.

Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

• Nsw businesses.
• The grant includes 3 milestones:
• Up to $5,000 to cover up to 75% of the cost to identify if a heat pump is suitable for your business site. this is an opportunity to identify potential barriers to heat pump implementation and assess possible solutions. the results of milestone 1 will determine your progression to milestone 2.
• Develop the heat pump design against the site’s current process requirements. there is no payment of grant funding at milestone 2.
• Up to $25,000 (covering up to 75% of costs) to develop a detailed heat pump feasibility study (for milestone 2 and 3).
• Have an australian business number (abn)
• Be registered for goods and services tax (gst)
• Be delivering a heat pump project at a nsw business site address
• Use between 5,000 and 100,000 gigajoules (gj) of gas (liquified natural gas, liquified petroleum gas, natural gas) per year at your business site, excluding fuel for transport.

• Funding for nt-based tour operators
• Quick response funding for nsw contemporary music artists, acts and music industry professionals
• Funding support for first nations artists, creatives and organisations in western sydney

What the funding covers

• Funding of up to $30K to cover up to 75% of the project costs.

How to apply

1. 1Confirm readiness: Ensure you meet criteria (e.g., ABN, turnover limits, GST registration), align project objectives with grant goals, and estimate time for evidence gathering and writing.
2. 2Gather evidence: Collect documents like financials, business plans, market research, project budgets, resumes, risk analysis, and support letters to prove capability and impact.
3. 3Register/log in: Obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN) if needed, sign into the relevant portal (e.g., Business Grants Hub portal), and note any prerequisites like advisory service reports.
4. 4Prepare and write application: Address all selection criteria clearly (project details, government alignment, costs, outcomes, benefits); keep concise, factual, and compelling; validate for completeness.
5. 5Review, approve, and submit: Proofread, get stakeholder sign-off, submit online via the portal before deadline (no late entries); expect eligibility check, merit assessment, and outcome notification.
