Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- Eligible primary producers within the 2025 inland river flood scar.
- The inland river flood (sa) freight subsidy is a targeted program for primary producers located within the 2025 inland river flood scar who have incurred significant extra transport or freight costs associated with the management of animal welfare as a result of the 2025 flooding event.
- Eligible activities are:
- Mustering of livestock (cattle) on the property at the time of the flood for safety reasons
- Transport of fodder or water for livestock resulting from the impact of floodwaters
- Transport of livestock, fencing, equipment or machinery associated with animal welfare.
- Primary producers must have a primary production livestock business located within the 2025 inland river flood scar at the time of the flood event which resulted in direct impact.
- Funding to create events and initiatives in drought affected vic communities
- Funding to establish or expand a heritage agreement
- Funding for first nations communities to engage with clean energy development
What the funding covers
- 50% of the total eligible transport or freight costs, up to a maximum of $5K (ex GST).
