Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- The island screen incentive is designed to attract non-tasmanian screen productions to film in the state. it encourages expenditure in the tasmanian economy and drives employment and skills development in the tasmanian industry, while highlighting the tasmanian landscapes, built heritage and lifestyle around the country and the world.
- Applications will be accepted from australian companies that meet the criteria outlined in the
- General guidelines and terms of trade
- Additionally, the project must:
- Be a live action screen production
- Be either factual (including documentary and reality) or scripted
- Be a feature film (60-minute minimum) or a series with at least 30-minute episodes
- Expend at least aud$1.5 million as tasmanian spend
- Be substantially based in tasmania (i.e. minimum 10 days’ filming)
- Have marketplace attachment to secure public release.
- Concessional loans for small, fast growing nt businesses
- Financial assistance to wa businesses in the defence sector
- Funding for employers of people registered with a disability employment service provider
What the funding covers
- Funding up to $500K.
How to apply
- 1Confirm readiness: Ensure you meet criteria (e.g., ABN, turnover limits, GST registration), align project objectives with grant goals, and estimate time for evidence gathering and writing.
- 2Gather evidence: Collect documents like financials, business plans, market research, project budgets, resumes, risk analysis, and support letters to prove capability and impact.
