This program provides funding to support the delivery of major events in Canberra.

Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- Organisers delivering events in canberra.
- This program supports major event opportunities that can:
- Bring substantial economic benefit for canberra, through event-based tourist visitation and visitor spend
- Provide opportunities for marketing and promotion of the canberra region to domestic and international audiences
- Provide high quality, enticing event experiences which support and enhance the canberra brand
- Reflect, engage and involve canberra's diverse communities.
- Visitcanberra considers and assesses major event fund applications in line with the following criteria:
- Social and community benefit and event leveraging opportunities.
- Event management capacity and capability.
- Funding will not be available for the following:
- Applications from individual persons
- Capital projects, equipment, staffing and capital costs associated with the conduct of the event
- Events that are proposed to be predominantly stage outside of canberra.
- Funding applicants must:
- Have a current australian business number (abn)
- Hold public liability insurance (pli) of no less than $20 million per incident
- Agree to indemnify the territory, its employees and agents from and against all actions, suits, claims, costs and demands directly or indirectly arising from the operation of the business.

- Funding for general practices to employ health workers in areas of need
What the funding covers
- Funding of between $50K and $500K.
How to apply
- 1Confirm readiness: Ensure you meet criteria (e.g., ABN, turnover limits, GST registration), align project objectives with grant goals, and estimate time for evidence gathering and writing.
- 2Gather evidence: Collect documents like financials, business plans, market research, project budgets, resumes, risk analysis, and support letters to prove capability and impact.
- 3Register/log in: Obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN) if needed, sign into the relevant portal (e.g., Business Grants Hub portal), and note any prerequisites like advisory service reports.
- 4Prepare and write application: Address all selection criteria clearly (project details, government alignment, costs, outcomes, benefits); keep concise, factual, and compelling; validate for completeness.
- 5Review, approve, and submit: Proofread, get stakeholder sign-off, submit online via the portal before deadline (no late entries); expect eligibility check, merit assessment, and outcome notification.
