Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • NSW small businesses.
  • Overview
  • The Natural Disaster Loan provides low interest loans to small businesses directly affected by a declared natural disaster.
  • The loan is intended to help small businesses:
  • return to their normal level of trading or until the next major income is received within 12 months from the date of disaster
  • replace and repair damage caused and associated improvements not covered by insurance.
  • Loans of up to $130,000 over a period of 12 years are available.
  • Check if you can apply
  • To be eligible, you must:
  • have fewer than 20 full-time (or equivalent) employees
  • have assets that have been significantly damaged as a direct result of the declared natural disaster
  • have suffered a significant loss of income as a result of direct damage from the declared natural disaster
  • hold a current Australian business number (ABN) that was active at the time of the declared natural disaster
  • demonstrate the long-term viability of your business and the ability to repay the loan
  • provide security for the loan.
