The Vessel Tracking Rebate Scheme provides commercial fishers with a rebate to help cover the costs of purchasing and installing approved vessel tracking units on their commercial fishing boats.

Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- Queensland commercial fishers.
- The vessel tracking rebate scheme provides commercial fishers with a rebate to offset the cost of purchasing and/or installing an approved vessel tracking system on their fishing vessels.
- The purchase rebate available is:
- For a category a approved vessel tracking unit - up to a maximum of $300
- For a category b approved vessel tracking unit - up to a maximum of $750.
- The installation rebate is up to a maximum of $220 for the cost of a professional installation of an approved vessel tracking unit
- A purchase rebate or installation rebate can only be paid once in relation to each unit and once in relation to each eligible boat.
- Own a commercial fishing boat licence, commercial harvest fishing licence or a charter fishing licence
- Have purchased a new approved vessel tracking unit after 1 june 2018 and before 30 june 2027
- Have registered the unit on
- For an installation rebate, installed the unit after 1 june 2018 and before 30 june 2027
- Not have a licence which is suspended or held by way of temporary transfer.
- Fee-free training for apprentices
- Funding for wa businesses to participate in wind turbine manufacturing and servicing supply chains
- Bonus tax deduction for small businesses accessing external training for their employees
