Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • You must be a UK-based business.
  • You must be planning to carry out your project in the UK.
  • Your project must address the specific requirements of the UK Aerospace Technology Strategy.
  • The ATI Programme is open to any organisations registered in the UK looking to develop technology for exploitation in the civil aerospace sector.
  • Applications can be submitted by individual organisations or as part of a consortium.

What the funding covers

  • ATI R&T programme projects may focus on industrial research or experimental development, depending on the challenge.
  • Research projects can receive grant funding of up to 50% of the total project value.
  • Capital investment projects can receive grant funding of up to 100% of the total investment value.
  • For industrial research, small businesses can receive up to 70% of eligible project costs.
  • For industrial research, medium-sized businesses can receive up to 60% of eligible project costs.
  • For industrial research, large businesses can receive up to 50% of eligible project costs.
  • For experimental development projects, small businesses can receive up to 45% of eligible project costs.
  • For experimental development projects, medium-sized businesses can receive up to 35% of eligible project costs.
  • For experimental development projects, large businesses can receive up to 25% of eligible project costs.
