Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Property must be home or small/medium non-domestic building in England or Wales
  • Maximum installation capacity of 45 kWth
  • Must have valid energy performance certificate
  • Fully replacing existing fossil fuel or electric heating system
  • Biomass boilers only eligible in rural locations not connected to gas grid
  • Cannot be funded by more than one source of public funds
  • Not eligible for new-build homes or social housing (self-build properties are eligible)

What the funding covers

  • £7,500 off air source heat pump
  • £7,500 off ground source heat pump
  • £5,000 off biomass boiler

How to apply

  1. 1Installer-led application. Installer applies to Ofgem on property owner's behalf
