How to apply

1. 1Step 1: Define Your Project by ensuring alignment with the programme’s Healthy Ageing funding area, emphasizing environmental and social determinants of functional ability, and including knowledge transfer plans for relevant target groups
2. 2Step 2: Budget Planning by preparing funding requests within CHF 50,000–100,000 per year, consulting the foundation for higher amounts, and excluding overhead, indirect, or organisational costs
3. 3Step 3: Prepare the Research Team by ensuring the principal investigator is a permanent employee of a qualified institution, identifying up to three co-principal investigators and collaborators, and confirming institutional capacity for compliance and grant administration
4. 4Step 4: Justify Strategic Fit by demonstrating why the project cannot be funded through national agencies and providing clear evidence of innovation and expected impact
5. 5Step 5: Submit Application including the full project proposal, team composition, and detailed budget, ensuring alignment with Velux Stiftung strategic priorities
