About this grant

UKRI and FNR have signed a memorandum of understanding to enable and support applications between researchers in the UK and Luxembourg. UKRI will fund the UK component and FNR will fund the Luxembourg component of the application. Conditions will differ depending on the funding opportunity.

  • Luxembourg researchers funded by FNR (Fonds National de la Recherche)
  • Conditions differ depending on funding opportunity

  • Luxembourg component funded by FNR
  • Collaborative research between UK and Luxembourg researchers
  • Conditions vary by specific funding opportunity

How to apply

  1. 1Confirm you are the project lead
  2. 2Sign in or create a Funding Service account
  3. 3Select your organisation verify email and set password
  4. 4If organisation is not listed email support@funding-service.ukri.org
  5. 5Allow at least 10 working days for organisation to be added
  6. 6Create an organisation Administration Account if requesting organisation addition
  7. 7Administration account needed for acceptance and management of potential grant
  8. 8Answer questions directly in text boxes
  9. 9Save answers and return later if needed
  10. 10Work offline and copy paste answers back into system if preferred
  11. 11Upload documents only when requested following Funding Service instructions
  12. 12Use How to apply section for questions and assessment criteria guidance
  13. 13Review application in read-only view before submission
  14. 14Send completed application to research office for checking
  15. 15Research office may return application for edits
  16. 16Research office submits checked application to UKRI
