About this grant
UKRI and Research Council of Norway have signed a Money Follows Cooperation agreement to enable collaborative applications between researchers in the UK and Norway. UKRI funding will be provided for project co-leads based in Norway in successful applications.

How to apply
- 1Submit applications through existing council programmes and include ‘UKRI-Norway’ as a prefix in the application title.
- 2Review the specific funding opportunity guidance before applying, as the UKRI-RCN Money Follows Cooperation Agreement is not a standalone funding call and conditions vary by programme.
- 3Search for relevant funding opportunities where the cooperation agreement with Norway applies and ensure alignment with the correct research council remit.
- 4If applying through an MRC funding opportunity, contact the relevant MRC programme manager to discuss inclusion of a Norway-based project co-lead (international).
- 5Consult MRC research area pages and specific funding opportunity pages to identify the appropriate contact person and guidance.
- 6Follow all relevant council-specific guidelines, deadlines, and budget rules for the selected funding opportunity.
