Skills Bursaries provide grants for people seeking to grow expertise in community heritage work. Open to applicants at any stage of personal or professional journey.

Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- Involved in some way to GLAM or Heritage sector
- Based/live in UK with right to access public funds
- UK bank account in exact name applying in (individual or organisation)
- Do NOT need to be affiliated with an organisation
What the funding covers
- Course or workshop fees (in-person or online)
- Travel and accommodation for training
- Mentoring or coaching sessions
- Conference or sector event attendance
- Materials/resources for learning (books, toolkits)
- Shadowing/placements in GLAM organisations costs
How to apply
- 1Bursaries will be offered on a rolling basis from September 2025 to March 2027 and will be assessed quarterly by a panel. You can apply to the bursaries scheme through an online form, accessed via our website.
