About this grant
UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £150 million to create scale-up manufacturing facilities for zero emission vehicle technologies, supporting manufacturing facility and process development at pilot or demonstration scale. Projects must have total eligible costs over £5 million and start from 1 September 2027; applicants must demonstrate private investment of at least twice the grant request.

Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- UK registered business of any size (to lead a collaborative project or apply alone)
- Single applicants and collaborations; research and technology organisations and academic institutions cannot lead or work alone
- Project grant request between £2.5 million and £20 million
- Total eligible project costs over £5 million
- Project must last at least 12 months and start from 1 September 2027
- Project work carried out in the UK with results exploited in the UK
