Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- Only for invited applicants following a successful outline application
- Must be based at an eligible UK research organisation
- EPSRC standard eligibility rules apply
- Project co-lead (international) role only for UKRI-RCN Money Follows Cooperation agreement or UKRI-IIASA agreement
What the funding covers
- Up to 80% of full economic costs (FEC) of the project
- Funding can be awarded for up to six years
- Staff costs
- Equipment
- Research activities
- Impact activities
How to apply
- 1Submit the application through the UKRI Funding Service, with the project lead completing the submission.
- 2Include a summary (550 words) as part of the application.
- 3Provide core team details outlining roles and expertise.
- 4Submit a Vision and Approach document (6 pages plus 1-page workplan).
- 5Describe applicant and team capability using the R4RI format (1,500 words).
- 6Include references (1,000 words) supporting the application.
- 7Provide project partner details and letters of support.
- 8Include facilities information relevant to project delivery.
- 9Disclose any sensitive information as required by the funding guidelines.
- 10Provide resources and cost justification (1,000 words).
- 11Address ethics and responsible research and innovation (RRI) considerations (500 words).
- 12Note that applications are batched internally for assessment and there is no fixed closing date.
