Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Invite only - restricted to applicants who successfully passed pre-proposal stage
  • UK applicants must meet BBSRC eligibility requirements
  • Consortia must include minimum 3 eligible partners from 3 different funding countries
  • UK applicants must be based at eligible research organisation

  • FEC up to £812,500, BBSRC funds 80%
  • Project duration: 24-36 months
  • Biotechnological conversion technologies for bio-based products
  • Metabolic engineering and strain optimization
  • Bioinformatics tools for metabolic pathway identification
  • Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 1-5
  • Total fund: £2,500,000
