Eligibility requirements
All of the following criteria must be met:
- The organisation must be based in the North of England or the Midlands.
- The organisation must be a business or social enterprise, or intend to become a legally registered company.
- The organisation must have a clear social mission at its core.
- The organisation must have been unable to secure funding from a mainstream bank.
- The organisation should primarily work with disadvantaged individuals, deprived communities, or within the cultural sector.
- The organisation should sell, or intend to sell, products or services.
- For some funds, organisations must have clear social aims and objectives and operate on a not-for-private-profit, asset-locked, or profit-restricted basis.

How to apply
- 1Complete the initial enquiry form with details about your organisation and the estimated funding required.
- 2If eligible, receive a link to the full funding application form.
- 3Complete the full funding application and submit supporting documents such as a business plan and cash flow forecast.
- 4Have the application reviewed by Key Fund.
- 5Work with an assigned Investment Manager who may request additional information or arrange a meeting.
- 6The Investment Manager presents the application to the Investment Panel.
- 7Await the funding decision made by the Investment Panel.
- 8If successful, review and sign the offer documentation and complete the funding setup process.
