How to apply

1. 1Step 1: Check your project type by confirming whether it is a structural repair project (costing more than £80,000) or a kitchen/accessible toilet project (costing more than £30,000)
2. 2Step 2: Confirm building eligibility by ensuring the church meets all required criteria relating to age, ownership, worship use, and public access
3. 3Step 3: Raise at least 50% of the total project budget by securing confirmed funding commitments before submitting an application
4. 4Step 4: Appoint a qualified professional, ensuring listed building projects use a conservation-accredited professional
5. 5Step 5: Secure all necessary permissions including governing body approval, planning permission, listed building consent, and faculty consent where applicable
6. 6Step 6: Ensure work has not started, as projects already in progress are not eligible for funding
7. 7Step 7: Confirm a safeguarding policy is in place as this is a mandatory requirement for eligibility
