Eligibility requirements

All of the following criteria must be met:

  • Motorway service area operators
  • Independent truck stops
  • Trunk road service areas
  • Local authority truck stops
  • Sites must be on or within 5 mile radius of strategic road network in England
  • Must provide at least 50% match-funding

What the funding covers

  • Welfare facilities for drivers (lounges, facilities for protected characteristics, Wi-Fi, laundry, etc.)
  • Security improvements (lighting, CCTV, fencing)
  • HGV parking capacity improvements
  • Construction and refurbishment works
  • Security equipment and installation
